Welcome!

Greetings Wine Drinkers and welcome to our new Aleksander Estate Winery website. Wow, what a year 2008 has been!

Starting with the addition of Sue Rice to our AEW team we have seen a facelift in the retail store, a new website and a quarterly newsletter for our guests to enjoy, not to mention all the smiling faces that were spotted in her company along the way.

We picked up Double Gold, Best of Category at the All Canadian Wine Championships for our Chambourcin, and released our first Icewine. Selling out of both the Baco Noir and the Chambourcin has allowed us to bring in 20% more grapes than 2007 keeping us busy in the winery.

We were very happy and a little tired after record numbers were reached at two of our largest festivals of the year, both Epicure and the Shores of Erie Wine Festival. Thank you to those who came out to enjoy the great wine, yummy food and fabulous music.

And on a personal note, between all of that Mark and I were married and are now expecting our first. Phew...!

To all those along the way that have shown us support, I thank you. I look forward to using this as a forum for updating everyone of the happenings at AEW and throwing in some wine information along the way.
